Happy Father's Day

There are more pictures to follow, but this one we just HAD to get up. Pop-Pop was busy showing Makenna Claire the best way to get in and out of her car.

If you've ever been to the circus and seen what clown cars look like, I think it went something like this. (Mute the music at the bottom of the screen)

NEW {big girl} ROOM!!!

OUR darling little girl is certainly growing right before our eyes and it's so hard to believe sometimes. We love watching every little step and milestone, but sometimes we would like time to slow down, just a little, pleezzz!! {one can only ask.. :)}

Well, she is coming close to another transition. It's almost time for her to move up to a Big Girl Room! Scott and I have had so much fun designing and decorating her new room..it really has been a blast and it's so great to see it all together and come to life. We have a few more additions in the horizon for the room, but it is almost complete. Here's a peek!!

She already loves spending time in her new room and is eager to show it off to anyone who will take her lead and follow her up the stairs. As far as sleeping in her in new bed... her response is "Not ready yet, Mommy."

That's okay Makenna, we can certainly wait!!!

RUN DADDY RUN!!!

These words were echoed many, many times last weekend as Mommy and Makenna Claire rooted Daddy on as he participated in back to back races. He ran the Western Springs 10K followed by a 5K, averaging under 8 minute miles. Whoo Hoo!! We are so proud of you Scott!!! You ROCK!!!! xoxo

Spring FINALLY feels like it is here!!

And we are playing outside!! This past weekend Scott and I made our annual trek (2+ hours round trip) to our favorite nursery and brought home a car load of pretty flowers. We spent Sunday planting it all in the ground, in pots and in hanging baskets. We love this time of year!! Thank goodness we had our resident supervisor on hand to make sure everything went in the right place!! :)My happy flowers!!!! Love the Gerber Daisies....I just look at them and smile.
Well, she did pitch in and help with the watering! She is a water baby that's for sure...the wetter (we all got) the better!
Our lilac bush and tree are in full bloom! The wonderful smell fills the yard!
Snack time...someone was working so hard she needed to regain her energy! So FUN!!

The baby is Growing and Growing!!

And I am feeling Big these days! Can't believe we are only 14 weeks away from meeting this little shaker. Wow how time flies!!

Vacation Time!

Last week, Makenna and I joined Mom in Orlando, Florida for a nice 5 day getaway. Mom was there for work, and, well, we were there for PLAY! We had wonderful week full of lots of fun, good times and 90 degree sunny weather! Makenna and I went to the Magic Kingdom on Monday and I think her favorite spot was at this water pad area. While I sipped frozen lemonade, she played and played and played! Pure joy!She also enjoyed the rides and seeing her favorites...Micky and Winnie the Pooh.
And we made sure we had lots of pool time. "Movie Star" Makenna Claire!!
Since we are in the midst of potty training, she was a little confused when water dripped from her suit when she came out of the pool. She insisted she was going potty each and every time! {She's going to love this story in a few years!!}
And on our last day, Nana was able to join us for the day at Sea World. Here's us with 'Shampu' (MC's name for him!).
Although we missed Daddy, we had an awesome time! Thanks Nana for letting us join you! xoxo

Oh How I {LOVE} being a MOMMY!

This little girl is what it is all about in my world!
She brings me so much love and pure joy, words cannot describe.
And of course, this year was all the more special with us anticipating the arrival of the newest family member in a mere three months. Wow!!

I hope all the great moms' out there had a great day as well. Everyday is a celebration of the journey of motherhood. xoxo
